FL 27 Ros-Lehtinen
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R) represents Florida’s 27th Congressional District where over 106,000 individuals receive their health care coverage through Obamacare (ACA). Had Florida opted for Medicaid expansion, another 76,000 would be covered, including 36,000 children. Yet she voted 19 out of 19 times for ACA repeal to take away their health care. Maybe she forgot 148,000 of them are eligible voters. Let’s remind her by spelling it out for her – and painting her a picture.
FL-27 is located in far South Florida, inside Miami-Dade County and contain portions of the cities of Miami and Hialeah
In the Presidential race, Hillary Clinton won this district by 19.7%(!). In the House race, Ros-Lehtinen beat her opponent by 28,000 votes, helped in large part by some 39,000 Hillary voters crossing over.
A switch of 14,000 votes (half of 28,000) will defeat Ros-Lehtinen in 2018. We can mobilize 187,000 Health Votes to defeat her.
- 39,000 crossover Hillary votes
- 106,000 ACA enrolled votes
- 42,000 Medicaid Expansion votes
- Total Health Vote: 187,000
With 187,000 Health Votes versus the 14.500 needed to defeat her, Ros-Lehtinen’s Vulnerability Ratio is 13.4 (totally vulnerable).
ACT NOW, BEFORE SHE VOTES AGAIN. Call, Fax, Write or E-mail Rep. Ros-Lehtinen NOW.

Cut-and-paste suggested letter (personalizing helps):
Dear Honorable Representative Ros-Lehtinen:
Congratulations on your recent election victory by a margin of 28,000 votes.
I am writing to you out of concern about your position on the Affordable Care Act.
If you vote to repeal the ACA, you will be jeopardizing the health and finances of over 182,000 of your constituents – 36,000 of them children.
If compassion for their lives doesn’t sway you, let me remind you that 148,000 of these individuals are eligible voters. Combined with the 39,000 Hillary voters who crossed over to vote for you – and who strongly support Obamacare – 187,000 Health Votes may be mobilized against you, come 2018.
We hope you will do the right thing by your constituents and be a voice for their ongoing health and financial well-being by voting against ACA repeal.
Sincerely,
(Your name here)
