AZ 02 McSally

AZ 02 McSally

Martha McSally (R) represents Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District, where over 83,000 individuals, including 22,000 children, receive their health care coverage through  Obamacare (ACA) and Medicaid expansion.  Yet she voted 7 out of 7 times for ACA repeal to take away their health care. Maybe she forgot 61,000 of them are eligible voters. Let’s remind her by spelling it out for her – and painting her a picture.

AZ-02 is located in the southeastern corner of Arizona which includes Cochise County and part of Pima County, including roughly two-thirds of  Tucson.

In the Presidential race, Hillary Clinton won this district by 4.9%. In the House race, McSally beat her opponent by 45,000 votes, helped in large part by some 30,000 Hillary voters crossing over.

A switch of 22,500 votes (half of 45,000) will defeat McSally in 2018.  We can mobilize 91,000 Health Votes to defeat her.

  • 30,000 crossover Hillary votes
  • 32,000 ACA enrolled votes
  • 29,000 Medicaid Expansion votes
  • Total Health Vote: 91,000

With 91,000 Health Votes versus the 22.500 needed to defeat her, McSally’s Vulnerability Ratio is 4.0 (extremely vulnerable).

ACT NOW, BEFORE SHE VOTES AGAIN.  Tweet, Post on her Facebook page, Call, Fax, Write or E-mail Rep. McSally NOW.

Cut-and-paste suggested letter (personalizing helps):

Dear Honorable Representative McSally:

Congratulations on your recent election victory by a margin of 45,000 votes.

I am writing to you out of concern about your position on the Affordable Care Act.

If you vote to repeal the ACA, you will be jeopardizing the health and finances of over 83,000 of your constituents – 22,000 of them children.

If compassion for their lives doesn’t sway you, let me remind you that 61,000 of these individuals are eligible voters. Combined with the 30,000 Hillary voters who crossed over to vote for you – and who strongly support Obamacare – 91,000 Health Votes may be mobilized against you, come 2018.

We hope you will do the right thing by your constituents and be a voice for their ongoing health and financial well-being by voting against ACA repeal.

Sincerely,

(Your name here)
