Mimi Walters (R) represents California’s 45th congressional district where over 97,000 individuals, including 31,000 children, receive their health care coverage through the state exchange for Obamacare (ACA) and Medicaid expansion. Yet she voted 7 out of 7 times for ACA repeal to take away their health care. Maybe she forgot 66,000 of them are eligible voters. CA-45 is based in Orange County and includes the communities of Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Villa Park, Orange, Anaheim Hills, Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo.

In the Presidential race, Hillary Clinton won this district by 5.4%. In the House race, Walters beat her opponent by 54,000 votes, helped in large part by some 35,000 Hillary voters crossing over.

A switch of 27,000 votes (half of 54,000) will defeat Walters in 2018.  We can mobilize 101,000 Health Votes to defeat her.

With 101,000 Health Votes versus the 27,000 needed to defeat her, Walters’ Vulnerability Ratio is 3.8 (extremely vulnerable).
